We believe that changing the way we produce and distribute food is fundamental to solving the world’s most pressing social and ecological problems.
Understanding the value of community-supported agriculture is at the core of our scheme. Locality, seasonality, and sustainability are what matter to us. We believe it is essential to shop local and source produce that is seasonal, organic, and regenerates the landscape where it is grown.
From just 2.5 acres, we grow enough food to fully sustain our restaurant and provide our farm shop customers with the pick of the crop.
Local food supports local economies. Food grown in the local community supports local jobs and encourages variety in our diets. It also requires less transportation, so it's fresher and has a smaller environmental footprint.
I'd heard what The Free Company were doing around seasonality, biodiversity and no-dig farming and I was so pleased to see they also had a Veg Club. The quality is top notch including wonderful fresh salad which is a big win in our house.
