Pig clubs were once commonplace across the UK. Introduced in the 1940s to enhance food security, these clubs allowed members to collectively own and rear pigs, receiving a regular supply of sustainably produced, hand-reared pork in return. Our pork boxes continue this tradition! At The Free Company, we handle the work while you enjoy the pork.
We are proud to farm organic, free-range, hand-raised, rare breed Berkshire and Mangalitsa pigs. We don’t use nitrates in curing and smoke our meat with windfall timber from the farm. We sell our pork directly to customers in a way that we believe is truly sustainable.
Depending on our butchery schedule, this product may be frozen for your delivery or collection. You can either place it directly into your freezer or defrost it; once defrosted, it will keep in your fridge for up to three days.
