Weekly, fortnightly, or one-off organic veg boxes containing a seasonal variety of organic vegetables, salad, herbs, and fruit grown on our organic no-dig farm. When our farm cannot provide all the items in your boxes, we source produce from other trusted organic suppliers across Scotland and the UK. During the hungry gap periods (March - end May), we also collaborate with European producers to ensure a good variety of produce year-round.

Our Winter Warmer meat selection is perfect for cooking comforting, cozy meals in the colder weather. You will receive a 1kg slow cooking joint (for example a rolled lamb or pork shoulder, or a beef chuck roast or brisket), 1kg of diced stew and 500g of beef mince. All meat comes from our own herd of organic, pasture-fed Dexter cross cattle and Shetland sheep, raised slowly and with care here on The Free Company farm. Their grass-based diet and gentle finishing give the meat its deep flavour. All pork products come from our own Native breed pigs, hand reared on The Free Company Farm. Our butchery products are frozen immediately after production to ensure they maintain their high quality and freshness. Simply defrost or put them straight in to your own freezer.

Our small beef selection consists of a pack of mince (500g), a stewing cut (500g), a steak (300g) and a 1kg joint. Total weight = approx. 2.3kg. A selection of steaks perfect for sharing, tasting and exploring some lesser known cuts. This box typically contains the equivalent of a fillet, ribeye, sirloin, rump and 2 butcher's choice cuts from the flank, shoulder or leg. Approximately 1.2kg. If you have any specific meaty requests then simply add this to your basket and then send an email with what you are looking for and our butcher will get back in touch with you. As we work in whole animal butchery we should be able to provide any cut you are after (Beef, Pork or Lamb/Hogget), depending on availability at the time. We can always offer suggestions and alternatives to make sure your needs are met. We can also make pies (individual or large) for parties and celebrations.

9-10kg of our grass fed, nutrient dense, organic Shetland hogget (hogget is a sheep that is older than 1 year so no longer a lamb - in our opinion this makes for greater flavour). This box contains the following cuts: Neck fillet, rolled shoulder, soup shank, stew, rack, chops, rolled belly, leg steaks, bone in leg, shank, bones and mince. This is perfect for anyone that wants to take a great value, nose to tail approach to cooking. Fill your freezer and enjoy cooking every cut that our hogget has to offer. A selection of our pasture raised Shetland Hogget or Lamb. You will receive a 1kg roasting joint (for example rolled shoulder or bone-in leg), 500g of mince, 500g of stew and 2 chops. Depending on the season and our butchery schedule, the products may be hogget or lamb. Mutton may also be available but please get in touch directly if you are interested in this. Our mixed meat boxes are available weekly, fortnightly, monthly, or as a one-off order, offering a selection of meat from animals reared and butchered here at The Free Company. The boxes typically include a seasonal mix of our organic, 100% pasture-fed and finished heritage Dexter cross beef and Shetland hogget (or lamb), reflecting what we are butchering on the farm that week. Depending on our butchery schedule, your box may arrive fresh or frozen for your delivery or collection. It can go straight into the freezer if needed. Once defrosted, it should be kept refrigerated and used within three days. Pig clubs were once common across the UK, where neighbours would come together to rear pigs and share the pork between them. Our pork boxes take inspiration from that tradition, offering a simple way to enjoy a regular supply of carefully reared pork from the farm. Here at The Free Company we raise Berkshire and Mangalitsa pigs as part of our mixed farm. They play an important role in our circular farm system, helping us make good use of surplus food and crop waste from the farm and kitchen while producing richly flavoured pork. The meat is butchered here on site, our bacon is cured without nitrates, and we smoke it using windfall timber from the farm. By selling directly to our customers, we’re able to rear animals carefully and keep the connection between the farm and your kitchen.
